We all know that a turban is the most important part of a Sikh’s life. For some, it’s a sign of their faith, and and for others, it’s their pride. But one thing’s for sure, it is an important identity for the Sikhs and they take it with them wherever they go.

So, we were not surprised at all when it travelled all the way to New York City! Yes, NYC just celebrated Turban Day by tying turbans on everyone on the streets!

The testimonies of firangs who got one are heartwarming, with many calling it a huge honour. The aim was to raise awareness about the Sikh culture and with such sweet words from people who wore a turban for the first time, we’d say the event was a success.

We’re so happy to see the Sikh culture travelling places!
