Connected as we are to so many of the characters we grew up with, their deaths in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows left many fans devastated. Read the loss of Fred, Tonks and Lupin, Severus Snape and Lavender Brown to name a few. Today is the 19th anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts and like every year, J.K. Rowling apologised for killing off another one of our beloved characters. This year it’s Severus Snape.

The infamous headmaster of Hogwarts still remains a sensitive topic among many fans, as was seen in the Twitter war that was sparked off in 2015 after J.K Rowling revealed why Harry had named his son after him.
