In a horrific incident, a 20-year old girl was allegedly raped in a moving car in Delhi’s Moti bagh area on Thursday night. The incident echoed of the Nirbhaya case that took place 4 years ago on December 16, where a girl was gangraped by six men in a moving bus. After the brutal rape, the girl succumbed to her injuries on December 29, 2012.
According to India Today, the girl was waiting for a bus when a car bearing Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) sticker stopped and offered her a lift till her residence in Noida. News18 reports that midway during their journey, the driver stopped the car at a lonely area and then raped her. Seeing a police patrolling van crossing the area, the girl shouted while the driver fled from the scene.

The police then took her to the police station while the accused identified as Aman Kumar, a driver to the head constable was arrested late on Thursday. The girl was residing in Noida and had come to Delhi to look for a job.
