A Facebook post by a Chennai resident questioning the indifferent attitude and response to the tragedy caused by the floods in Tamil Nadu has gone viral on Social Media, evoking a sharp response from thousands of online users who feel betrayed by lackadaisical response to the tragedy.
The post, along with an image, was written by Balaji Narayanan on December 3, one of the worst days of floods and continuous rainfall .
The image compares the response of media and government towards the recent terrorist attacks in Paris and the Chennai floods. And the difference is more than visible.

The first half of image shows a logo of Eiffel tower in Paris along with the death toll of 132 in the November attacks, with a line below that reads: “Whole World Comes To Rescue and World Media Coverage”
The second half mentions about the Chennai flood in which death toll is more than that of Paris attacks and is still rising. However, as the post mentions “city people left to fend for themselves. Media coverage: Not even national.”
On the other hand, the post enlists details about Chennai and the situation the city was going through that time.
