Not all good things come in small packages. In our day to day lives, most of us don’t even notice the presence of little creatures around us. As we grow up, we become oblivious to some tiny insects but not all tiny creatures should be ignored. Some can kill you within a fraction of minute and some can make you ill for a lifetime.
Here are 15 tiny creatures that should be avoided in every possible way because they can totally kill you.
1. Mice
In the past century, more than 10 million people have died from rodent-borne diseases. Although not a major threat, there is no dearth of them. They can cause fevers that may relapse for months.
2. Golden Poison Frog
These exist in Colombia and there is no effective way to cure the poison they carry. Their skin is covered with enough poison to kill ten fully grown human beings, which is why you should skip picking up these little ones.
3. Slow Loris
While some people pet them, these animals can actually kill you. Their front teeth are removed before they are given as pets to avoid infection and death.
4. Duck-Billed Platypus
These cute looking creatures have ankle spurs that have a venom which can kill small animals. But if injected in relatively larger quantity, they can kill you.
5. Cone Snail
Also known as Conus, these under-water creatures sting hard, which might even result in complete respiratory failure and cardiovascular collapse.
6. Blue ringed Octopus
These under-water creatures can kill humans with their venom. What is worse is that there is no anti-venom for their venom. The blue rings on the body are a clear indication, though.
7. Box Jellyfish
Some species of box jellyfish produce extremely potent venom which are extremely painful and can also be fatal to humans.
8. Pfeffer’s flamboyant cuttlefish
These venomous animals are great at camouflaging themselves. They are found on shallow s and and mud substrates in tropical waters throughout Indonesia and Malaysia to Papua New Guinea and Australia. Even their muscle tissue is highly toxic.
9. Africanized Honey Bee
Also known as ‘killer bees’, they are easily provoked. Once they detect threat, they are more likely to attack in greater numbers.
10. Deathstalker Scorpion
These can be found in desert and scrub-land habitats ranging from North Africa to the Middle East . It is regarded as the most dangerous species of scorpion. Its venom can easily kill anyone.
11. Harvester Ant
These venomous ants are found in Southwest United States. They usually attack in packs and once they do, there’s no rescue.
12. Boomslang
Found in Sub-Saharan Africa, even a small amount of venom from this cute-looking snake is enough to cause brain or muscle hemorrhage.
13. Brazilian Wandering Spider
The name comes from their habit to wander the jungle floor at night. The venom toxicity and quantity this spider can inject in one go, is enough to kill any person.
14. Tarantula Hawk
These spider wasps hardly sting without provocation. It is one of the most painful stings one can ever experience.
15. Giant Japanese Hornet
This hornet has 3 eyes and it injects a relatively large amount of venom. One needs to be hospitalised after being stung by them.
